今日オススメするのは Upon Beauty Rests の「For the Days We Fear the Air We Breathe」という2008年発売の6曲入りEPです。2008年なので全盛期からは少し外れた後期のエモ。ひときわ異色のオーラを放つエモバンド Upon Beauty Rests（読み方：アポン・ビューティー・レスツ）の楽曲はなんといってもピアノが美しい。
シリアスでダークなメロディーで美しく歌い上げるのも特徴。ピアノが目立ちながらも、ギターのリフも多く激しいサウンドは多くのエモファンにも受け入れられそうな聴きやすさ。
ぼくが個人的に一番お気に入りな1曲目の「The Perfect Things in Poetry」はホントにカッコいいのでぜひ聴いてみてください。この曲はスクリーム一切なしです。
